First entry of 2012

February is ending!!.. Looking for April to start *smiling* coz we will go on board Inshaallah! Please help Nabilah to cheer during the passport photographing :)

She wore the blouse and jeans pant that I sewed last January on her second birthday. It was a one night stand project that made me sleepy in the LRT on the next day.

I used scrap fabric for the waist line and patch a "trademark" that papa bought last year ;)

This is our latest collection which we loved to wear them very much :). The colour and print are really perfect for the coming spring season. That is the reason why I put sakura applique on Nabilah's dress.

Nabilah is staring and thinking what is the next action she wants to do in front of papa.
To all, hope you will have a very fine and prosperous new year!!

Ending of the year 2011 with scrapped fabrics

Hi everyone!... I was busy and crazy with scrapped projects lately. It is a sign that I should let go my precious collections. So I started with something simple like this bag. I made it as a present for my friend who just got her minds clear with the pain of writing. I suppose sewing is easier than writing ;))

Then, this cute drawstring is also a present for my friend who just finished her viva presentation with a little gift inside :)

Then, I continued with the smallest thing I ever sew!! The cutest card case for another two of my friends who won the best authors for this year! big claps for them.

Then, I started to get crazy with the japanese fan shapes and himawari (sun flower). So, I decided to decorate my office's wall with this patchwork. It took me 2 weeks to complete it while watching Kunfu Panda with Nabilah.

Then, I made a prayer suit (telekong) for solat specially for Nabilah. The scraped meant for finishing the edge of the suit instead of the bias tape.

Finally, I made an anti-slipped prayer mat (sajadah) for Nabilah. I imitated the mosque's applique from the Masjid Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah which is located near to my house. Then, I decorated with a small fish pond. Then I tried a free-style quilting on the sky background ;)

Cerita Baju

Salam Aidil Adha semua.

Cerita Langsir

Salam lebaran buat semua.

Celebrate The Eid

My theme colour for this coming Eid is going to be grey and bluish.

My 'kurung' is matched with 'kain selisih'. I used embroidered cotton. I simplified papa's 'baju Melayu' collar to cheongsam-like collar because I did not have experience in sewing 'cekak musang' collar. The material used is SB line cotton.

Nabilah got two new dresses. I made a bias-cut gown from the embroidered cotton and a kurung from SB line cotton. I added crochet flowers that were given by MisFydKraft on Nabilah's gown. I did use another pair of the same crochet here. Her kurung was machine embroidered with orange-sakura flowers. The traditional way of the embroidery is called 'sulam goyang' which is embroidered on traditional 'kebaya nyonya'. The little drawstring pouch bag is really her favourite ;))

The close up of the neck lines are as follows ;)). I hope that papa's cheongsam-like collar is not too feminine.

To speed up my sewing time, I simplified the waistlines of my skirt and papa's pant.

Enjoy your coming Eid with full of bless!! Amin

Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

To all my muslims friends and bloggers, Ramadhan Al-Mubarak. I am pretty sure everyone is very busy in making preparation for the Eid (about two weeks from today). This year will be a merrier Eid for me than last year as Nabilah is also busy to help me in the kitchen and the studio ~sigh~. Thus I need to drag my sewing time a bit longer than before. I will wrap up my collection soon ;). Inshaallah

This is my first trial using the embroidery setup on my machine. It was an exciting moment to see the outcome. I am impressed with the yellow sakura ;))))

Here, I want to post my activities in my studio for the last two months. I managed to sew a reversible hat for Hadif. I made two hats last time here for Hadif's brother and sister. It becomes a perfect collection of the family ~happy~.

p/s: the big orange really helps ;)). I kept the orange since I was 5 years old. It was a gift from my sister's friend during the chinese new year celebration.

Here comes Hadif, He is soooo cute. I adore his smiley face very much.

Hadif's mother requested a wristlet for her i-phone. So here it is.

Last but not least, I did sew a bag as present from this cozy japanese print. I loved the length of the bag's sling. A bit longer that tote's bag length.

Have a bless Ramadhan!! and thank you all for reading my tiny post.

My first attempt

Hi everyone. I would like to share with you my new experience. Sewing ribbon embroideries on my plain white skirt. That is the reason why I did not buy the white skirt here in Langkawi.

These flowers only used threads. I applied the same embroidery here before this.

These are totally my new ribbon embroidery collections after seeing them in here. ;p
Personally, I love thread embroidery than the ribbon ones. I need more time to develop the embroidering skill.

This is the new look of my plain skirt. ;))
Happy weekend all.
